3 Types of Lab Lattice Framing Mounts
Choosing the Right Laboratory Lattice Mounting
Lee Engineering offers three types of mounting setups for our laboratory lattice kits because we know different labs have different needs. Your projects are completed more efficiently and with fewer errors when using lattice framing rather than old, poorly-maintained single clamp stands. And with multiple mounting types and custom-cut rod lengths to choose from, your lab will surely be able to meet its mounting needs.
Three Mounting Apparatus Configurations
Materials Needed to Build Above Pattern: 4 Foot Aluminum Side & Bottom Lab-Frame Apparatus Grid
Benefits of Side & Bottom Lattice Mounts
Side and bottom mounts are for situations when you need a solid, permanent structure spanning the entire length and height of your fume hood.
No matter the size of your fume hood, Lee Engineering provides custom rod lengths to ensure a secure and snug fit. This mounting configuration uses vertical mounting base plates at all of the rod ends. Assemble to rod ends using the Lee Engineering hex key. Each base plate uses four #10 screws to mount. Screws are not included.
Materials Needed to Build Above Pattern: 4 Foot Aluminum Back Mount Lab-Frame Apparatus Grid
Benefits of Back Mount Lattice
Useful for mild to moderate project repetition & variation.
This mounting configuration uses four lattice connectors, four 4’’ lattice rods, and four vertical mounting base plates. Assemble all four back mounts and attach to your lattice. Each base plate uses four #10 screws to mount. Screws not included.
Materials Needed to Build Above Pattern: 4 Foot Aluminum Table Top Lab-Frame Apparatus Grid
Benefits of Benchtop Mount Lattice
Useful for situations where location or shape of the lattice needs to be changed. It can be used in a fume hood or bench-top applications.
This mounting configuration uses five vertical mounting base plates, seventeen lattice rod connectors, two 24’ lattice rods and 2 swivel mounting base plates.
On the left and right lattice rods, attach the vertical mounting base plates using the Lee Engineering hex key. On one end of a 24’ lattice rod, connect the swivel-mount base plate at a 45-degree angle using the Lee Engineering hex key. On the other end, attach a lattice connector.
Attach to the lattice structure at a 45-degree angle. You can attach the structure to your fume hood floor or to a lab bench using #10 screws. Screws not included.
